David Belcher has an innate ability to connect with people from all walks of life, from the physicist to the stay at home caregiver to the Wall Street trader to the retiree. He readily develops trust and enables people to be comfortable around him, even in the most stressful situations. His preparation and ability to distill complicated issues are second to none. He is a creative yet pragmatic problem solver who cares deeply about his clients and achieving resolution.

David brings an uncommon breadth of experience to every resolution. Before giving in to his entrepreneurial spirit by founding his law firm, Belcher Fitzgerald LLP, he practiced law in Boston for the prominent firms, Stroock & Stroock & Lavan and Goodwin Procter. As an attorney, he has been involved in major business and litigation matters, including a multi-billion dollar business transaction as well as an appeal to the United States Supreme Court.

He has negotiated and closed transactions for businesses, big and small. He has defended and prosecuted civil claims of both individuals and large institutions involving all levels of complexity and stakes.

David received his juris doctor, magna cum laude, from Boston College Law School where he served as editor-in-chief of the Uniform Commercial Code Reporter-Digest. He received his bachelor of science, cum laude, from Fairfield University with a major in mathematics and a minor in finance.

He has completed over 60 hours of mediation training.
